多亏 + person/thing，才 + result

多亏...才 means "thanks to X, I/we was/were able to Y." It expresses gratitude and credits someone or something for a good result.

Expressing gratitude - Thanks to your help

Crediting the cause - Because of X, Y was possible

Acknowledging contribution - Without X, Y would not have happened

多亏你帮忙，我才能按时完成。

Thanks to your help, I was able to finish on time.

多亏 specifically credits someone/something, while 幸亏 is more general "fortunately."

多亏 vs 幸亏

- 多亏 = thanks to (credits specific cause)

- 幸亏 = fortunately (general luck)

才 emphasizes the necessity

- Without the help, it would NOT have been possible

Can omit 才 in casual speech

- 多亏你帮忙，我完成了

多亏你帮忙，我才能按时完成。

Thanks to your help, I was able to finish on time.

多亏有地图，我们才没有迷路。

Thanks to having a map, we did not get lost.

多亏老师的指导，我才通过了考试。

Thanks to the teacher guidance, I was able to pass the exam.
