Self-directed - Talking to yourself while trying to recall
Asking others - Requesting someone remind you of something

Often combined with interrogatives: 何だっけ、どこだっけ、いつだっけ
Attaches to plain forms
- だっけ (after nouns/na-adj)
- たっけ (after past tense verbs)
- いっけ/かったっけ (after i-adj)
Casual only — don't use in formal situations
