〜より〜の方が is the comparison structure - "A is more... than B."
Structure: B より A の方が [adjective]
I like winter more than summer.
Note: Order is opposite to English - the standard (より) comes first.
Order: B より A の方が
- ✅ 車より電車の方が速い (Trains are faster than cars)
- ❌ 電車の方が車より速い (unnatural)
の方が can be dropped in casual speech
- 車より電車が速い

- どちらの方が好きですか (Which do you prefer?)
