する → せずに
〜ずに means "without doing" something. It is the negative て-form equivalent and is more formal/literary than 〜ないで.
Formation: Verb ない-stem + ずに
• 食べない → 食べずに
• する → せずに (irregular)
• くる → こずに (irregular)
