있다 = have done, 없다 = have never done. Often with -아/어 보다.
Consonant + 은 적이, vowel + ㄴ 적이
- 먹은 적이 있어요
- 간 적이 있어요
-아/어 본 적이 있다 (tried doing)
- 먹어 본 적이 있어요 (Have tried eating)
적 = time/occasion
