(이)라도 expresses "even if only" or "at least" - accepting a lesser option or minimum alternative.
Lesser alternative - 커피라도 마실래요? (Would you like at least some coffee?)
Minimum acceptance - 조금이라도 (even just a little)
Concession - 이거라도 가져가세요 (Take at least this)
Use 이라도 after consonants, 라도 after vowels.
After consonant: 이라도, After vowel: 라도
- 물이라도, 커피라도
- 조금이라도, 뭐라도
Implies settling for less
- Not the ideal choice, but acceptable
Different from -아/어도 (even if)
- 라도 = at least this option
- -아/어도 = even if (conditional)
Would you like at least some coffee?
Please help even just a little.
