〜ばかり has two main uses:
Just did (た + ばかり) - Action was just completed moments ago
Only/Nothing but - Emphasizes exclusivity or excess
Even though I just ate, I''m already hungry.
For "just did," ばかり emphasizes recency more than たところ.
た-form + ばかり = just did (recent past)
Noun + ばかり = only, nothing but
Verb て-form + ばかりいる = always doing (often negative)
Casual speech: ばっかり, ばっか
I just came to Japan, so I don't understand anything yet.
He does nothing but complain.
