〜ても means "even if" or "even though" - the result remains unchanged despite the condition.
Formation: て-form + も (食べて → 食べても)
Even if it rains, I'll go.
For adjectives: 高くても (even if expensive), 静かでも (even if quiet).
い-adj: くても, な-adj: でも
- 高くても買う (even if expensive)
- 静かでも寝れない (even if quiet)
ても vs のに
- ても = hypothetical (even if)
- のに = actual (even though it happened)
疑問詞 + ても = "no matter what/who/when"
- 何を食べても美味しい (Everything is delicious)
Even if it rains, I will go.
Even if it is expensive, I want to buy it.
No matter how many times I hear it, I dont understand.
